Case-3: 70 years old male got excellent relief in both knee osteoarthritis with homeopathy.
Seventy years old male, Mr. N.K.S (Patient Identification Number 8375) visited Life Force center for the treatment for knee osteoarthritis on 28th March 2006. Both his knees were affected.
Mr N.K was a well-built, slender and tall gentleman who owned his restaurant business in Mumbai. Though he was the owner of his restaurant, he had a habit of standing continuously for hours over the cash counter. Accidentally, he was pushed over by someone and he fell awkwardly. That was the triggering factor for all his complaints.
He was diagnosed to have osteoarthritis since six years. His complaints of pain and stiffness was gradually increasing over the years. He had used different types of painkillers but with temporary effect. He decided to consult Dr Shah.
His complaints used to get aggravated while climbing as well as descending stairs. On examination mild swelling was noted on knees. No other deformities were noted.
Dr Shah studied his case in details and prescribed his constitutional medicine as well as research-based medicines for two months.
At two months follow up (June 2006), the patient reported with 10% improvement in pain and stiffness. His major concern was to stop the painkillers. Dr Shah prescribed the same medicines with increased potency.
At four months follow up (August 2006), he reported with 25% improvement in pain and stiffness. The need for painkiller had reduced substantially. He still required painkillers but once in 4 to 5 days. His complaints were controlled with homeopathic medicines.
At 6 months follow up (October 2006), hewas very happy to report with more than 60% improvement in pain and stiffness. Patient was glad to tell that he was able to stop painkillers completely. Pain was but bearable.
At eight months follow up (December 2006), the patient was better by 80%. His movements while ascending and descending the stairs were smooth. Patient remarked that at the age of 70 moving about normally is the great achievement thanks to Dr Shah and homeopathy.
He was advised to continue medicines.
