Case-1: I can now walk without the support of stick!
Mr Yadav aged 70, (L-12039) was brought to the clinic by his brother, for the treatment of Osteoarthritis.
He was suffering from pain in the knee joints since the last 5-6 years. He was brought to the clinic from a village over 1000 km away from Mumbai.
Since last one year, the pain was severe, with swelling in the knee joints, right more than the left. He would complain of occasional stiffness while walking. He also suffered from backache.
He had to use a walking stick for support since 1 year. This had shattered his self confidence and created a sense of dependency, as he was a man of strong will and had been independent all throughout his life.
He had undergone treatment from various doctors and was marginally better using the pain killers.
Mr Yadav was a farmer and stayed with his family in a remote village. He was habituated to hard work and physical labor.
The pain and stiffness had restricted his movements and affected his work.
He was prescribed X Ray of both knee joints at Life Force, which revealed very severe degenerative osteoarthritis. Orthopedic surgeons had explained him this condition was a progressive disorder and if medicines did not help, then he may have to go in for knee replacement surgery.
It was a clear case for knee replacement. However, it was beyond patient's financial capacity to opt for it.
Dr. Shah examined the patient and prescribed research based medicines for osteoarthritis along with Capsicum 200 C in varying doses.
Within 4 weeks, Mr Yadav reported of good pain relief. The swelling was less and the pain had reduced by 40%.
The medicines were continued further, in 10 weeks, the knee pain was better by 60%. The stiffness was considerably less. He mentioned the backache to be better by 30%.
In 4 months, there was significant improvement in the osteoarthritis. Mr Yadav barely required the stick now. He was able to walk without support, for most of the times. His gratitude to Dr Shah could be hardly expressed in words. We could appreciate the overwhelming response in his eyes.
