Case-4: Homeopathy helped in recovery from Meniere's disease
He presented with constant ringing, tinnitus in his right ear. He had a blocked sensation in the right ear. There was a constant echo in the ears, associated with headache. After going through a such series of distressing period which were treated as a case of Migraine, he started developing difficulty in hearing and was finally diagnosed as having Meniere's disease. Having stressed and tired of being wrongly diagnosed and wrong treated he approached Life Force Center for treatment.
His was taken in details, explaining to him the importance of the medical details in treating his Meniere's disease. The head ache was severe and was a routine thing for him. The constant ringing and tinnitus in the ears were making his life miserable. He also complained of giddiness all the time. He also complained of having PID (prolapsed intervertebral disc), presenting with severe lower back pain. His back pain would radiate till both his thighs.
He had undergone an MRI of the Lumbar Spine which showed Disc herniation at L3-L4, L4-L5, no nerve root compression. He was a business man and always looked at everything with a profit and loss ratio. He was looking for faster results. He was explained about the nature of the disease and the need for a long term treatment. He was a vegetarian and his appetite was good. He had liking for spicy food, preferred highly seasoned food.
His thirst for water was average. He had excess sweating all over the body. His urine and bowel habits were normal. Thermally he was a very chilly patient. His sleep was sound. He was running a small scale business of arts and crafts. He was staying in a joint family, with his parents and his wife was a home maker. He was a perfectionist at work and was always very result oriented in his business. He was impatient and wanted very fast results and good profit in his business which created pressure on him as well on the other subordinates working with him.
He couldn't tolerate injustice and had 2-3 court cases due to property disputes, he was not willing to compromise on it and preferred fighting the case openly. He was doing well in his business but his wanted to achieve better in life and he kept working towards higher goals in life, towards having a better life style.
He was stressed out as he felt that the ringing in his ears and the difficulty in hearing could cause permanent damage. Along with the medicines he was counsel led by Dr. Shah about keeping a calm mind and a positive approach towards the situation.
At 2 months follow up (2 March 2009), Mr M.M.K. reported that the ringing in the ears still continues but lesser in intensity and was feeling more comfortable as tinnitus was less and he could hear better. He had started feeling slightly positive. His back pain was less. At 4 months follow up (14 May 2009), Mr M.M.K. reported that the ringing and the difficulty in hearing is better by 50 %. The frequency and the intensity of the complaints was much less. His vertigo had reduced. He started feeling that his life was coming back on the right track.
At 6 months follow up (30 July 2009), Mr M.M.K. reported there no was no ringing in the ears, the blocked feeling was no more and he could hear like a normal person. There was no vertigo. He felt stress free as that fear of having any physical deformity has vanished. His back pain was also much under control. He was much better and he stopped the treatment.
Mr M.M.K. reported again on June 2012 for new complaints of polyarthralgia and reported that he was completely cured of the Meniere's disease.
