Case-6: A 62 years old, Mrs. K.R.I. (Patient Identification Number: 17287 visited the clinic on 18 October 2011 with complaints of Fibroadenoma of breast and severe anxiety.
Since last 2 years she started with severe excruciating pain in the left breast, the pain would even radiate to her back which almost occurred everyday associated with heaviness in the left breast. On examination there were no external lumps but on mammography showed benign calcification in both breast, depicting Fibroadenoma . This had made her very anxious and her only worry was whether this lump will get cancerous in future.
She was spending sleeplessness nights due to anxiety and worry. She had other complaints of constant post nasal discharge and phlegm formation. She also had persistent acidity. She had vomiting and constant gas formation and had tried Homeopathic treatment for it.
Her appetite was normal with strong craving for spicy food. Her thirst was average. She was more tolerant to cold. She was short stature in appearance. There were no complaints with bowels and urine. She was menopausal since last 10 years.
She was a house wife and her husband was retired from news agency. Her son was staying in Bangalore and daughter was married and settled. She was a calm lady but her complaints of pain and tenderness in the breast had made her very anxious and she would worry all the time about trifles. She shared a cordial attitude with her husband and would share her anxieties and worry about her son with her husband.
With all these case details, her case was analyzed by Dr. Shah and she was prescribed Silicea 30 with some research based medicines.
Within 3 months of treatment (on 23/01/12) she reported the improvement to be satisfactory. The pain and heaviness in the breast has reduced. Since her pain had reduced that also helped in reducing her anxiety. She reported having acidity with the same frequency and constant post nasal discharge.
With further 5 months of treatment (on 5/3/12) she reported that the pain is better by 25 % and her heaviness in chest has reduced. There was improvement in her acidity and the post nasal discharge but she appeared to be more anxious this time. Her sleep was also not very refreshing. Along with change in medicines she was also counselled by Dr. Shah about anxiety management.
With the further 8 months of treatment (on 5/5/12) there was substantial improvement in the breast tenderness and the pain. She said that now mentally she is much calmer and the anxiety has reduced, her fear of having cancer has also reduced. She appeared with a smile on her face.
She is still continuing the treatment; Homeopathic medicines have not just helped in giving her relief in her pain but have also reduced the unwanted fear of cancer from her mind.
