A Misdiagnosed Case Was Diagnosed Correctly & Treated Effectively at Life Force
A 38-year-old married lady, Mrs. Y.H. (PIN: 36225) consulted at Life Force for her Lichen Planus complaints on the 20th March 2018. At the time of consultation, her legs, hands, back, neck, genitals, and abdomen were affected with Lichen Planus. Her oral cavity was not affected by it. Her eruptions were thick, raised, and dark brown with profound itching. She informed us that it was not diagnosed properly initially. Her doctor diagnosed it as a fungal infection. She had taken steroid treatment for the same but didn’t get any satisfactory result. So, it was stopped for one month. Besides Lichen Planus, she was also suffering from gallbladder stones and anemia. For anemia, she had taken a few injections of iron.
She was non-vegetarian by diet. Her appetite was average. She desired sweet and non-vegetarian food a lot. But, she didn’t like sour food. Her thirst and perspiration were average. Her bowel was regular. Her menses were regular and flow was for 4-5 days. Her sleep was disturbed. She would wake up several times at night. She saw a dream quite frequently that she was falling from a height.
In her family history, her mother and father both were suffering from diabetes and thyroid.
She was a housewife. She lived in a joint family, so, sometimes, it was stressful. She was from Delhi, and her husband was from Panjab. She had three children but her son was a disabled child. So, she was very depressed. She always thought about her son. Her son couldn’t listen and speak.
After studying her case, Dr. Shah diagnosed it as Lichen Planus and prescribed a research-based molecule to the patient and advised her a few blood tests.
On 28th May 2018, she gave her first feedback. She informed that her relief from the complaints had started improving rapidly. Her itching had reduced by more than 70%. In her blood reports, her iron was very low so she was advised to take the iron supplement. Her TSH was on a higher borderline so she was advised to do some more tests.
After a few months on 20th August 2018, the patient informed that her itching had reduced drastically, and her eruptions too had reduced. There were no new eruptions.
A few months later on 2nd January 2019, when she gave her feedback, her relief from Lichen Planus was 80%-90% improved. Only hyperpigmented spots were remaining. Her relief from itching was 90% improved. She didn’t have any problem or discomfort bothering her. Her condition had improved remarkably.
The patient is still continuing the homeopathic treatment from Life Force for further improvement.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates the efficiency of homeopathic medicines in treating Lichen Planus effectively and safely without any side-effects.
