Case-2: Cure in Tinea and Recurrent Folliculits with homeopathy
Mrs. T. D. V., aged 37 years (Patient Identification Number - 18839) visited Lifeforce Borivali clinic on 12th April, 2012. She wished to start the treatment for her severe obstinate fungal infection. She was suffering with Tinea Corporis since 2 years. She would get temporary relief by applying the antifungal creams. It has started to spread rapidly since 3 – 4 months and was uncontrollable with these creams. The active lesions were seen on the buttocks, infra mammary and left arm pit. The groins had hyper pigmented spots, not active spots. There was severe itching causing bleeding. The itching would be severe while perspiring and at night. Her sister had similar complaints.
She was suffering from recurrent folliculitis since 2 years. She would get 1 – 2 big pustules once a month and it would heal in 7 days with home remedies. They would appear mostly in lower body on left side. It would increase before menses.
She had noticed moderate hair fall since a year. There would be 50 – 60 strands approximately falling while oiling and shampooing. There was thinning noticeable on the vertex area. She was developing female pattern baldness. She had applied medicated hair oil for 3 – 4 months a year back, but did not find any improvement.
She was having constipation since many years. She would get hard stools once in 2 days. She would take ayurvedic medicine as and when required for the same.
She was a vegetarian and had average appetite. She liked all food especially green chilly. She disliked Chinese food. She would perspire profusely and had excessive thirst. She could not tolerate warm climate.
There were no complaints with her menstrual cycles. They were regular. She had 2 kids; elder son and younger daughter.
Her sleep was sound with dreams of anxiety.
She was working as a personal assistant before delivering the kids. Now she was a dedicated and responsible home maker. Her in laws were residing in another city. Her husband was an executive in a reputed company.
She described herself as a negative thinker. She would get anxious about any work not done on time. She would get frustrated and angry if the work was delayed. At times she would do a work and regret later for it. Any kind of financial setback would affect her. She had shifted with her family to Mumbai 2 years before.
Her father suffered from constipation and her mother had tuberculosis.
Her case was studied in detail by Dr. Shah and prescribed Sepia 30c 2 doses and Bacillinum 30c along with few research based medicines.
She visited on 14th June for follow up. Her Tinea had improved by 25%. She had stopped applying the antifungal cream and it did not spread. There was no occurrence of folliculitis in last 6 weeks. The hair fall and constipation did not find much improvement.
She reported on 11th August for the follow up. Her Tinea was better by 60%. The itching had significantly reduced. The redness had disappeared, only post healed spots were visible. The recurrent folliculitis found 70% recovery, as there was no eruption of any boil since last 4 months. The hair fall was improved by 25%. The dryness and brittleness of hairs had reduced. The constipation was also relieved by 25%. Her case was reviewed and prescription upgraded.
On 15th December, 2012 she was glad to report cure in her Tinea and Recurrent Folliculits. There was no itching or appearance of boil in last 6 months.
She is continuing the medicines to recover in her hair fall and constipation and has complete faith in Dr. Shah and Lifeforce.
