Steroid-Masked Lichen Planus Treated Successfully With Homeopathic Medicines At Life Force

A 28-year-old female from Tamil Nadu, Mrs. L.S. (PIN: 41904) started online homeopathic treatment in December 2019 for her complaint of Lichen Planus.
She was suffering from it for 8 months. She had spots on her hands, legs, back, and abdomen. Multiple spots were present on her body. The disease was spreading day by day. She was suffering from excessive itching on the skin. Hyperpigmented marks were present all over her body. She was applying steroid ointment prescribed by her dermatologist but it was not helping her significantly. Her family friend was taking treatment from us for Lichen Planus and got recovered completely. So, he recommended the patient to contact us for treatment. The patient was very hopeful regarding the treatment as she was assured by her family friend that this is the only place where she will get a permanent solution.

The patient’s appetite was average. She had no specific desire for food and drinks. Her thirst for water was sufficient. She had no issues related to her urine and stool. Her sleep was sound and refreshing.

She was a housewife. Her husband was doing a job in a company. She was quite mild and sensitive. No major stress was present in her life.

She did not suffer from any other major illnesses in the past. There was no major illness noticed in her family.

After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed some research-based homeopathic medicines along with some dietary tips to the patient. She was informed to reduce the steroid application gradually. Also, she was informed about the withdrawal effect of tapering steroids.

    Follow-Ups:
On 15th February 2020, the patient reported that there was a mild difference in his condition with the medicines. The itching had reduced than before. Hyperpigmented marks were as it is. She had started reducing the steroid application on the skin. Overall, there was a minor difference noticed with the medicines.

On 20th June 2020, she updated that her relief in lichen planus was better all the while, however, in the last 1 month, her complaints had increased again as she had stopped using steroid ointment. She noticed new spots on her hands and legs. The itching had increased in the spots. The patient was already informed regarding the steroid withdrawal effect. She was advised to continue homeopathic medicines with a non-medicated moisturizer application. Based on these details, Dr. Shah prescribed further medicines to the patient.

On 22nd October 2020, she reported being almost 50%-60% better in her relief in the complaints. The spread of lichen planus had stopped completely. The itching on the skin was minimal. The hyperpigmentation was remaining on her skin. She was overall better with the medicines.

On 12th January 2021, the patient reported being absolutely better with the medicines. The itching was no longer present now. Hyperpigmented spots were fading gradually. The skin was overall improved with the medicines. She was perfectly fine now.

The patient thanked Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for treating her and improving her health. She is still under the treatment to get a complete recovery from her disease.

    Conclusion:
This case illustrates that homeopathy is highly effective in treating steroid-masked lichen planus incredibly and safely without any side-effects. Homeopathy helps eliminate the dependency on steroids and promotes recovery from lichen planus gently and successfully.
