Relapsing Lichen Planus Treated Successfully With Homeopathic Medicines At Life Force

A 34-year-old female from Punjab, Mrs. M.S. (PIN: 9509) started homeopathic treatment in April 2007 for her complaint of Lichen Planus.

She was suffering from it for 8 months. She had developed spots on her hands, legs, back, and abdomen.  Multiple spots were present on her body. It was noticed that disease was spreading day by day. Excessive itching on the skin was affecting her. Hyperpigmented marks were present all over her body. She had taken conventional medication but there was no relief. She was also suffering from minor hair fall.

Her appetite was average. She had a craving for spicy food. Her thirst for water was adequate. She had no issues related to the urine and stool. Her sleep was refreshing.

She was an engineer by profession and was doing a job. Her husband was in civil defense. She was staying with her in-laws. She was very irritable and short-tempered. It was also found in the history that, earlier, she had stress related to the family.

She did not suffer from any other major illnesses in the past. No major illnesses were noticed in her family.

After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed her some research-based homeopathic medicines along with some dietary tips to the patient.

    Follow-Ups:

On 26th April 2008, the patient reported that, within 1 year of homeopathic treatment, she was completely better with the medicines. All her spots on the skin had subsided. Only hyperpigmented marks were remaining. She was relieved of itching. The patient was overall better with the medicines. The patient did not have any complaints, so, after that, she discontinued the treatment.

On 19th May 2016, after 8 years, she experienced a relapse of lichen planus. So, the patient restarted the treatment from Life Force. She noticed spots on her hands and legs. It was a very mild and initial stage. Mild itching was present in the spots. On considering her medical history in detail, it was found that the patient was suffering from an infection, for which she was prescribed antibiotics. The patient reported that after taking that she suffered the relapse of Lichen planus. Based on these details, Dr. Shah prescribed her medicines.

On 20th May 2017, she reported being almost 80% better in her relief in the complaints. The spread of the disease had stopped completely. The itching on her skin was not present anymore. Only the hyperpigmentation was remaining on the skin. All her active lesions were subsiding gradually with the medicines. She was overall better with the medicines.

On 17th July 2018, the patient reported being better completely with the medicines. The itching was no longer present. Hyperpigmented spots had almost faded. Her skin had experienced an overall improvement with the medicines. She was perfectly fine now.

The patient thanked Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for treating her and promoting her recovery from the relapsing disease.

    Conclusion:

This case highlights that homeopathy is highly effective in treating relapsing lichen planus successfully and safely without any side-effects.
