A 22 year old male Mr.J.K.D (Patient Identification Number 20281) came to our Chembur clinic on 21/11/12 with a complaint of psoriasis. The lesions had started on his face and scalp and new lesions were noted on the great toes since 3-4 months. Besides these, there were patches on his ears which were masked by moisturizers & these were the first to appear. Since 1 year he had a complaint of dryness & itching of the scalp and dandruff. The lesions on the scalp were around 2 cm in size, on both temporal regions. There were large patches on both cheeks. There was dryness of the skin with itching and scaling. He had taken allopathic treatment with no relief in his complaint. He had applied steroid based creams, which gave some initial relief, however he noticed that while the old spots healed, several new spots came up near the old spots. So he stopped the creams.
He was a vegetarian having average appetite. He was having craving for sweets and there was perspiration on his forehead.
He was thermally chilly having satisfactory bowels. His physical structure was average. His sleep was sound.
He was studying MBA from MET and also doing his 2 nd year B.com. His father was into diamond buisness and his mother was a homemaker.
He was confident, expressive and affectionate by nature.He was calm, studious and a hardworking person.
His father was having hypercholestrolemia and gout. His mother was having underactive thyroid and asthma.
Dr. Shah who analysed the case and prescribed him Petroleum 30c and reaseach based medicines.
He reported on 2 nd january 2013 with no improvement in his complaint. Dr Shah enhanced the dose of Petroleum.
He reported on 11 february 2013 with 50% improvement in his redness and skun dryness. The lesion on his left ear were better but new spots were arising on right ear. There was slight improvement in his scaling.
He reported on 3 rd April 2013 with 95% improvement in the skin redness, dryness and roughness. The lesions on right ear and scalp had almost cured. The face had cleared up. There was no itching and no discomfort. The lesions had all healed. When compared with his old photos, the skin was looking normal now..
He is still continuing with the medicines for a complete recovery.
