Case-4: 50-year-old accountant finds relief in his alternating complaints of psoriasis and recurrent cold and cough with Homeopathy
Fifty-year-old male Mr. A.U.V. (Patient Identification no: 22101) visited Life Force on 26th December 2013 for the treatment of Psoriasis.
He presented with suffering from psoriasis since 2 years. His nape of neck, hands and thighs were affected from psoriasis. He had red eruptions with severe itching and dryness. His itching increased after bathing. Along with psoriasis, he also had recurrent cough and cold since 1.5 years. He would have episodes of sneezing, running nose, watering of eyes, throat congestion and cough. He had observed that his respiratory complaints always alternated with psoriasis. He also suffered from back pain and leg pain since 10-15 years. He was also a known case of hemophilia. He had taken conventional oral and local steroidal medications but that gave him only temporary relief. He wanted a permanent and long-lasting cure and thus visited Life Force to start with homeopathic treatment.
He was a vegetarian by diet. His appetite was average and he had strong liking for sweets. His thirst was normal. He had tendency to generalized perspiration. He had a habit of chewing tobacco since 30 years. He was sensitive to cold weather. His bowel movements, urination and sleep were normal.
He was an accountant in a private firm. His wife was a homemaker and he had a daughter aged 25 years. His father had expired due to stroke and mother expired due to cancer. He had two brothers. One of his brothers also suffered from hemophilia. His wife had problems with his elder brother's family. He was stressed as he wished to have cordial relations with them. His daughter was getting married in a month. He was stressed and anxious for her marriage.
After studying his case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed him research based medicine for psoriasis. His photos were taken.
On his first follow-up on 25th February 2014, there was 30% improvement on his hands and thighs. Itching and dryness had reduced. There were no new lesions, but there was slight increase on the nape of neck. He did not have any episode of respiratory complaints and his back and leg pain were much better.
On his second follow-up on 15th April 2014, there was 50-60% improvement on his hands and thighs. Itching and dryness were much better. There was mild improvement on neck. He had an episode of respiratory complaints since 1 week. His leg and back pain were completely better. Some changes were made in his medicines by Dr. Shah.
On his third follow-up on 6th June 2014, there was overall 80% improvement in his psoriasis. His lesions were much better as compared to previous photos. He did not have any respiratory complaints. He was happy and relieved to have found good control over his disease. He is still under our treatment for further recovery.
This case study highlights the holistic approach of homeopathy. Homeopathic treatment strengthens the immune system which leads to recovery of psoriasis as well as respiratory complaints.
