Case-2: Remarkable improvement seen in 15 years chronic skin condition
A young, smart businesswoman Mrs. P. N. (Patient Identification Number - 18120) visited our Borivali centre on 31st January, 2012. She had been suffering from Verruca Plana since 15 years. She had first noticed it at the age of 13 years. But it was diagnosed 4 years back by a skin specialist. It had been treated in the past as freckles. She had seen a rapid increase in their number and size since the last 3 – 4 months. They would itch at times. There were multiple minute dark rough eruptions on the right side of the face. Few were large in size. She had undergone cauterization 4 years ago.
She had an average appetite with liking for chicken. She could not tolerate warm weather. Her thirst, bowels, urine, sleep were all normal. She was born and brought up in Mumbai. She had twin elder brothers. Her parents were retired.
She had been married 2 years ago. It was a love marriage. She was staying with her in laws. Her husband owns a resort in Goa. She would frequently accompany him to Goa for business issues. There were some adjustment issues with her in laws, which were stressful at times.
The familial in laws issue would disturb her and she would keep thinking about it. She was sensitive and did not express her anger. She had limited friends. She was reserved. Her resort was undergoing renovation since the past few months which had been stressful as she was handling it. She was a perfectionist.
Her father had warts; while her mother had diabetes and thyroid disorder. Dr. Shah studied her case in detail and prescribed Causticum 30, Thuja Occidentalis 30 along with some research based medicines.
