Strategic Collaboration Of The Conventional Medicine & Homeopathy Helps In Treating Aplastic Anemia Effectively
19-years-old Miss G.K (PIN 13261) opted for online treatment at Life Force and registered from New Delhi on 29th January 2010.
After discussing her case with an associate doctor over the phone, Miss G.K. decided to start with online treatment. Her case details were collected through our patient support system, where she filled in a detailed questionnaire and attached her investigation reports.
She was diagnosed to have Aplastic Anemia for two years. She had complaints of weakness and lethargy for a long time. She used to get heavy bleeding during menses and most of the times medication was required to stop the bleeding.
Her hemoglobin and platelets always used to be on the lower side and, after every menses, it used to get further low. She described that her hemoglobin level never came more than 9 gm% even after blood transfusion.
She had to go for blood transfusions once in two months. She was taking conventional immuno-suppressive medicines like Cyclosporine for 2 years, but, as these medicines were affecting her liver, she used to stop it in between which would further aggravate her condition and she would require frequent blood transfusions.
Emotionally, she described herself as an irritable person. She disliked physical activities and liked music. She lived in a conservative Sikh family where she always felt suppressed. Anger was her prominent emotion.
Dr. Shah studied the case details and prescribed constitutional medicines along with our research-based patented medicines. She was advised to be in touch with her local physician for repeated blood tests and adjustment of conventional medicines.
After four months of the treatment, Miss. G.K. gave a follow-up in May 2010. She described that her complaints of weakness had reduced and she felt energetic. She required a blood transfusion once in that four-month period. She attached her blood reports, which stated hemoglobin – 9.2 gm%. Her complaint of heavy menstrual flow had reduced by 20%.
After eight months of the treatment, when the patient gave a follow-up in September 2010, she stated that she required blood transfusion only twice in those eight months and her hemoglobin levels were around 9gm% constantly. Her relief from the complaints of heavy menstrual bleeding was better by more than 50%. She did not require conventional medication to stop menstrual bleeding.
After 12 months of the treatment, when the patient gave a follow-up in January 2011, she was happy to report that she did not require a blood transfusion in the last 4 months. Her hemoglobin levels were constant between 9 to 9.4 gm%. Her complaint of heavy menstrual flow was completely better now. Her local physician had reduced the dose of cyclosporine and promised to stop it once the hemoglobin level goes above 10 gm%.
After 16 months of the treatment, when she gave a follow-up in May 2011, the patient was thrilled to state that her hemoglobin levels were 11.0gm% and she did not require blood transfusions now. Her physician had stopped all conventional medicines, except the iron supplements.
After 20 months of the treatment, when she gave a follow-up in September 2011, the patient's hemoglobin level came to 13.10 gm%. Her complete blood count was in the normal range. The complaints of heavy menstrual bleeding were 100% better. She was advised to continue the medicines for a few months.
Conclusion:
This case is a good example of how a strategic collaboration of conventional medicine and homeopathy helps better manage difficult diseases like aplastic anemia.
