Child suffering from chronic, steroid masked Psoriasis got completely recovered with homeopathy.
A lean thin girl Ms. D.N.S (Patient Identification Number 12529) visited Life Force on 13th August 2009, with her parents.
She was suffering from Psoriasis for last 6-7 months. She was having lesions on armpit and scalp. She was applying Topisal (Clobetasol) cream once a day since last 6-7 months. Her Psoriasis lesions were completely masked by steroid application.
There was mild redness, itching and dryness. Scaling was more on the scalp. Her parents were aware of side effects of steroids and did not want her to continue with steroid creams. They came to know about Life Force through one of their relatives, who was getting treated under Dr. Rajesh Shah.
She had a family history of Eczema and Hypothyrodism. Her father was suffering from Eczema and mother was suffering from Hypothyrodism.
She had average appetite. She had dislike for milk. Thirst, perspiration and bowel habits were normal. She would feel more comfortable in cold weather. Sleep was good. She would get frightening dreams as if somebody has kidnapped her etc.
She was 3rd standard student, staying in nuclear family with her parents. She was very charming and active. She would easily make friends. She had cordial relation with everyone in school. She always wanted to be dressed up nicely. She would love traveling. She was obstinate by nature. She would get angry if her demands were not fulfilled. She would express her anger by crying and shouting.
Her case was studied by Dr. Rajesh Shah and research based homeopathic medicines were prescribed.
She gave her first feedback on 29th September 2009. Her parents had stopped applying steroid cream after starting with homeopathy. Itching and scaling were increased after stopping steroid creams. There were no new lesions. Redness had also increased. It was explained to her parents that there will be some resurfacing after stopping steroids. Her feedback was studied and medicines were upgraded.
In next follow up on 19th November 2009, she reported 10% improvement in her Psoriasis. Itching and redness were reduced by 10%. Scaling was same on the scalp. She would get thick dandruff like scales on the scalp. There were no new lesions of Psoriasis.
On 18th January 2010, there was 20-30% improvement in her Psoriasis. Redness, itching and scaling were reduced. Scaling on scalp had reduced by 20-30%.
She responded well to the treatment and showed continuous improvement in her Psoriasis. On 12th November 2010, Ms. D.N.S reported some increase in her Psoriasis. The lesions on axilla and scalp were increased. There were red lesions on her axilla and scalp scaling was increased. Intensity of her complaints was less as compared to first time. Her parents were anxious about this increase as she was responding well to the treatment till that time. It was explained to her parents that there are such ups and downs in chronic cases of Psoriasis. Her case was reviewed and further medicines were prescribed.
On 24th January 2011, she reported almost 50% improvement in her Psoriasis. Redness, scaling and itching were reduced. There were post inflammatory hypopigmented spots on her axilla.
On 1st March 2011, there was 80-90% improvement in her Psoriasis.
By 2nd May 2011, she had completely recovered from Psoriasis.
Steroid creams were stopped in the first six weeks itself. Her parents were glad that they could get a good recovery without the use of conventional medicines. Her dermatologist had stated that there is no alternative to steroid creams, especially on the scalp. However even her scalp lesions responded equally well to homeopathy.
