Suffering from recurrent chalazae on both the eyes since past 3-4 years. Had opted for surgery twice in past for chalazion.

32 year old male, Mr. S K. (Patient reference number L7365), was suffering from recurrent Chalazion on both the eyes since past 3-4 years. He had opted for surgery twice in past for Chalazion. In spite of the surgery, the chalazion recurred and when he visited our center he had 2 chalazion- one on left lower eyelid and another on the right upper eyelid. He had been suggested surgery yet again but this time he decided to opt for Homeopathy instead.

His appetite was average and there was craving for salty food. His bowel movements, urine and perspiration were normal. His sleep was sound. He was calm by nature, with no major fear, anxiety or stress. His only anxiety being this recurring nature of his chalazae. There was a family history of skin ailments like eczema and urticaria. His father had hypertension and mother had diabetes.

Based on the above history he was prescribed Staphysagria 200 for his recurring chalazion. Within a month both the chalazion reduced by 60%. During this course one new chalazion had started developing on the right lower eyelid with itching, mild discomfort, whitish discharge from eyes and lachrymation. Relief was attained in this chalazion with treatment for a couple of weeks. With 8 months of regular treatment, the chalazion on right and left upper eyelids and right lower eyelid dissolved completely.

This case illustrates that homeopathy is beneficial in treating chalazion and also prevents recurrence, without any side effects and without any surgical procedures.
