Psoriasis on Palm
45 years aged gentleman Mr. R.S.V. (patient identification number 15449) came for treatment of Psoriasis on 7 February 2011. He was suffering from psoriasis of the palms and the soles. He was under one or the other treatment from the last six years. He was mostly under steroidal creams and Ayurvedic treatment. He was also suffering from mild dandruff.
In the last six months, he had developed spots on the legs and hands and ankles. This was the first time that the psoriasis had come on his body. Earlier, it was only restricted to the palms and soles. These new spots disturbed him and for the first time, he got scared of this disease.
When he reported to the center he had stopped all the treatment for one month. Hence one could see distinct psoriasis lesions on his palms and soles and lower legs. There were some cuts and the skin below the scales was tender and red.
Since the last few months he had also developed urticaria like rash and he had to take an antihistamine almost 2-3 times a week.
His case was studied in detail. He was a textile engineer. He was of large frame and seeing his physique, any one would mistake him for a military commander. He was a commanding person notwithstanding. He had a dedicated team of technicians. He would get orders from a MNC and get it done from local manufacturers. He was into marketing.
His entire team would get employed with him. They would ensure world class quality, and honor his commitment. He never liked shoddy work. If the manufacturer compromised upon quality, then they would leave en mass. He was very impatient and irritable. He was short tempered. If he quarreled with anyone then he would break the relationship forever. He admitted being very egoistic and violent in the past. He was impulsive, but commanded total faith from his workers. He was very social and had leadership qualities. He was helping in nature.
His parents suffered from Diabetes and high blood pressure. He was thermally more sensitive to heat. He perspired profusely in the summer.
Dr Shah studied the case details and prescribed Nat-Mur 200 C and a research based remedy. He visited the center again on 7 April 2011, in these three months there was good relief in the new spots i.e. spots on the legs, hands and ankles. The palms and soles gradually healed. He ordered the medicines over the phone in the next follow up. He again visited the center on 15 September 2011. There were very good improvement. The dandruff recovered. There were no new spots anywhere in the last six months; this was really very relieving for the patient. The symptoms of urticaria had also reduced very well. He again visited for follow up on 11 October 2011. He was much better then before.
In the last six months I see so many patients suffering from Psoriasis! The patient exclaimed. This is a common phenomenon. Once we get affected with a particular disease, we become very sensitive to it and keep thinking and noticing our self and others.
