Had been under allopathic treatment but there was no relief at all. The lesions of Lichen planus were intensely itchy.

This is the case of Mr. S.J (Patient Ref. No. L-4854) a 23 years old male patient who reported to the clinic with complaints of lichen planus for about 4 years. He had multiple lesions on his face, chest, back, and legs. The lesions of Lichen planus were intensely itchy. He had been under allopathic treatment for the same but there was no relief at all.

Apart from this he also had been suffering from peptic ulcer for 3 years and was under treatment for the same. He was a lean and thin patient with a normal appetite. He had a desire for sweets and sour things and disliked curd. There were no complaints related to bowels or urination. He would be more comfortable in the cold weather and disliked being in a warm environment.

He had a lot of anxiety about his business and it would constantly be on his mind all the time. He would brood a lot about various things most of the time. He was fastidious by nature and would be very particular about his work and the way he kept things, etc. His nature was calm and he would not get much angry.

There was no history of any major illness that he had suffered from in the past. His father had died of oral cancer and his mother was suffering from hypertension. His brother had complaints of epilepsy.

The patient had seen many doctors in the past and had tried all kinds of treatment but did not benefit from any of these. There was a history of use of steroids for the treatment in the past but even that had not helped him much.

The patient was being prescribed Phosphorus along with a dose of Carcinosin, based on the above history and within the first four months of treatment, the patient was more than 50% better. After continuing the treatment for another 6 to 8 months his complaints of lichen planus completely disappeared. The hyperpigmentation of the skin also improved considerably. Thus at the end of about a year of treatment, he was completely free of the lichen planus and he was very glad that he found homeopathy at the right time since he had not benefited from any kind of treatment in the past 4 years.
