I recovered completely from my neuralgia...i could stop the Mazetol with the help of Dr Shah's treatment
A 63 years old female patient Mrs. S.B.S. (Patient Identification Number 14749) visited Life Force on 25th August 2010 for the complaint of Trigeminal Neuralgia. She was suffering from this since last six years. The pain was specifically right sided, severe electric shock like pain. She would get the pain five to six times a day, each time lasting for four to five minutes. The pain would get worst by touch, talking, while brushing teeth and gargling. There were trembling of limbs and watering of eyes during the episode of pain. MRI report was done which was normal.
She had taken Ayurvedic medicines for 3 years and was on Mezetol (Carbamazepine) 400mg per day since one month. Her pain was not under control with these medicines.
Her appetite was good with strong craving for sweets. Thirst, bowel habits, perspiration were normal. Sleep was sound with no specific dreams. There was marked aggravation from cold weather.
Mrs. S.B.S. was housewife. She had lost her husband 15 years back. There was a stress about education and settlement of two daughters. She was very much anxious about her own health.
Based on above history, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed research based homeopathic medicines. She had been advised to continue Mezetol along with homeopathy for initial six weeks.
Within first six weeks, frequency of pain reduced to once or twice per day, lasting for one to two minutes every time. There was significant reduction in intensity of the pain. Her dose of Mezetol was reduced to 200 mg per day. In next two months, pain further reduced to three to four times in a week. Dose of Mazetol was also reduced from 200 mg per day to 200 mg three to four times in a week. Still she had marked fear of gargling and brushing teeth, as these would increase her pain.
The frequency of pain further reduced in next two months. She got pain only two to three times in two months lasting for one to two minutes. Intensity was also very less. She could stop Mezetol completely. The fear of pain reduced significantly. By 12th April 2011, she had completely recovered from her Trigeminal Neuralgia.
