Psoriasis eruptions on elbows, knees and fingers suddenly worsened and spread all over the body in 15 days.
Mr. P. P, (Patient ref. no.: L8067) 20 years old male, was suffering from Psoriasis on elbows, knees, and fingers since 12 years. The eruptions had suddenly worsened and spread all over the body in 15 days. He had erythematous eruptions with scaling and severe itching and burning. He also had psoriatic arthritis developing in both the knees. He had taken Homoeopathy treatment in past for 12 years and Ayurvedic treatment for 3 months. Following the severe aggravation since 15 days, he had been put on steroids and methotrexate by his dermatologist. This was his state when he came for homeopathy treatment to our clinic.
He also suffered from gastric upset, flatulence since 2 years, and since 2 months his condition had worsened; he would frequently vomit all that he had eaten. Since 4-5 years he had been constipated and would have to strain while passing stools since the stools were hard. He had a normal appetite and he used to crave salty food and had a liking for sweets too.
He was a reserved person, did not mix with people due to this illness. He would not go out, make friends, as people would ask him regarding his eruptions. He generally preferred to stay at home. He would not share his feelings with anyone. He preferred watching television or sleeping at home. Apart from this, he did not have any other major stress/ fear or anxiety.
He has a strong family history of psoriasis; his father, two paternal uncles, and grandfather, all of them suffer from psoriasis.
Based on the above history he was started on Carcinosin 200. Within two weeks he started improving and the scaling reduced first. The pain in the knees was also better by now. New eruptions also had come under control. His gastric problems also reduced significantly within 2 months.
Within 3 months his psoriasis was 50% better, and he was 95% better within 5 months of treatment. His skin had cleared and there was no scaling, itching, and burning. Carcinosin 200 was continued for the next few weeks and then his treatment was concluded.
