31 yrs old, male (PIN 11996), came with extensive psoriasis all over his body. He had been suffering with psoriasis for past 6-7 months. There was severe scaling and the psoriasis was spreading rapidly with new lesions coming up. There was tremendous itching which would get worse at night. He was on betnovate creams, which gave him temperory relief. He also complained of pain in the knees since 3-4 months.
He had scanty perspiration and was sensitive to cold. There was no past history of any major illness.
He was self employed, working away from his home and family.
He was a reserved person, did not mix with people due to his illness. He was very short tempered, would shout loudly, quite often. There was a lot of work stress.
Based on the above history Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed him Carcinosin 200. He was asked to stop with the ointments. Within two weeks he started improving. The scaling reduced considerably. The redness was less. In 6 weeks, the rate of spread of the lesions was controlled. The pain in the knees was better by 30%.
After 4 months of treatment he said “I am very happy. I am almost 95% better.” His skin cleared up and there was no scaling, itching and burning. His medicines were continued for the next further for sometime. There was no relapse of psoriasis. His treatment was stopped.
