A patient who was on 800mg of carbamazepine could stop it and go into remission using homeopathy

54 yrs old female, Mrs. A.P. (L-10096), presented with severe form of right sided trigeminal neuralgia since December 2006. She had similar episode from 1991-1998. She had electric shock like pain from right cheek to right ear and occasionally to right temple, typical of TN. The pain was severe, continuous daily, affecting her daily life. She could not eat, could not talk, and could not work due to the pain. Draft of air, Air conditioners, exposure to breeze, hard food and brushing would increase the pain. She was on Mazetol 200mg thrice a day since Nov’06, and since a month was taking 4tabs/day, total of 800mg per day. She also had diabetes since 3 years, which was under control.

She was a non-vegetarian with desire for salty food. She had generalized profuse perspiration. She had a strong family history of diabetes.

She had anxiety regarding husband’s health and daughter’s career. She was fanatic about cleanliness and instead of grumbling, would do the chores herself. She liked company and enjoyed cooking.

As per her case details, Dr Shah’s research based medicines were given. Within a month, her neuralgic pains had reduced remarkably and her Mazetol was reduced to thrice a day.
Gradually Mazetol was tapered and stopped in another 2mths. Homeopathy medicines were continued for few months.

With 7 months of homeopathy medicines she has responded so well, following which homeopathy medicines were also stopped. She was into complete remission.

This case illustrates that homeopathy acts wonderfully in cases of Trigeminal neuralgia in short period of time.
