Recently detected case of Under active thyroid responded without any thyroid supplement

A 22 years old girl (Patient ref. no: L 9133) came to the clinic accompanied with her parents, with complaints of excessive hair loss since 5 years. Dr Shah asked them to get a thyroid test T3, T4 and TSH checked. As suspected she was diagnosed with Hypothyroidism. Her T3 level was 3.31, T4 was 0.83 and TSH was 13.49. The TSH was very high.

There was a history of unexplained weight gain, she had a normal appetite. There was excessive thinning of hair. The density of her hair had reduced.

Her menses were regular.

Her mother remarked that, she was prone to mood swings, since a few days. She had become more irritable and highly impatient.

Subsequently, her sister was also investigated and found to be having hypothyroidism.

Based on the above history, she was started on homeopathic treatment.

She was prescribed Dr Rajesh Shah’s patented medicines for hypothyroidism. She was not on any conventional medicines.

In 6 to 8 weeks the hairfall was better. Her mood swings had reduced. At four months of treatment the TSH levels were repeated they had reduced from 13.49 to 9.59. The medication was continued regularly and in March the TSH was 8.83. In August 09 the TSH was found to be 4.08.

She is continuing with the treatment further, her TSH levels are reducing successively and she continues to improve.

This is an excellent illustration of success with homeopathy, without any external supplements. The homeopathic medicines worked at stimulating the thyroid gland and bringing the hormone balance. Also, it may be noted that the success was significant and faster as the patient was freshly detected to have underactive thyroid; and was not treated by external thyroid supplement.
