A 7-year-old boy (PIN: 38667) approached Life Force Homeopathy, for the treatment of his complaint of frequent cold episodes, in November 2019. He was suffering from frequent episodes of cold since the last 3 years. The frequency of episodes was thrice a month, and the duration of each episode was 5-6 days. He was suffering from the symptoms of the cold that include watering from the eyes, a dry cough, 4-5 continuous bouts, rattling cough, lachrymation, pain in the ears that was unbearable, feeling tired during the episodes, weakness, and pain in abdominal muscles due to coughing.
Whenever he suffered from a cold episode, he used to take antibiotics and did nebulization. In addition to the frequent cold, he was also suffering from Anemia.
His history of ailments and treatment history were also asked in detail. The patient had a history of cold attacks for which he had taken allopathic treatment. It was updated for future reference.
When his detailed family’s medical history was asked, the patient told us that his father was suffering from psoriasis, and his mother had a history of recurrent cold episodes.
A detailed case history was taken including both his mental and physical generals. The child was timid, polite, reserved, and would not mingle with others easily. His intellectual sphere was considered. His memory, perception, and intelligence were good.
The patient’s appetite was average, and he was a vegetarian. He had craving for sweets and an aversion to spicy foods. Thermally, he was a hot patient, likes everything cold. His stools were satisfactory. The patient had no urinary complaints. The child enjoyed a sound sleep and had no disturbances or dreams.

Follow-Ups:
His parents gave his first follow-up on 9th January 2019. The child was experiencing a good improvement in his relief in the condition. His cough’s frequency and intensity had reduced. The pain in his ear had reduced.
Further, at the follow-up on 20th March 2019, the child was experiencing, further relief. His dry cough, 2-3 continuous bouts, rattling cough, and cold episodes had reduced.
At the follow-up on 26th April 2019, the child was 50% better in his relief in the discomforting cold symptoms. His cough episodes had reduced. His relief in the pain in the ears was better. The pain in his abdominal muscles due to cough had reduced. All his symptoms were under control.
On the follow-up on 13th June 2019, the child was 60% better in his relief from the rattling cough. Just one mild episode of cold had occurred. Cold episodes had reduced. All his complaints were under control.
At the follow-up on 18th September 2019, the child was overall better. No major episodes had occurred. His cold episodes had reduced, and all his complaints were under control.
On follow-up on 15th November 2019, the child was overall better. No major episodes had affected him. Cold episodes had also reduced.
On the follow-up on 20th February 2020, the child was overall better. Just 1 episode had occurred in the last month for 8-10 days. All his complaints were under control.
Further, on the follow-up on 26th March 2020, the child was 70% to 80% better. Just a mild cough had affected him in the last week.
On the follow-up on 4th May 2020, the patient was 90% better. He had not experienced any episodes. All his complaints were under control.
Further, at the follow-up on 16th July 2020, no episodes or attacks had affected him.
At the follow-up on 18th September 2020, the child had a mild attack of sneezing due to the change in the weather.
At the follow-up on 22nd December 2020, he had a mild attack of cold. He had not taken any medicines.
Later, at the follow-up on 10th April 2021, the child was 90% better. No episodes had affected him since November 2020
On the follow-up 6th June 2021, the child had experienced 90% recovery from the condition. He was stable, and no episodes of the cold had affected him.
