Recovery From Alopecia Areata Found In 1 Year With Homeopathy At Life Force
A 42-year-old housewife, Mrs. P.L. (PIN: 38009) visited our clinic in Mumbai on 26th September 2018 for getting her alopecia areata treated. She was suffering from patchy hair loss on the scalp for 3 months.
She was following conventional medicines since the beginning. She was partially better with allopathic medicines; however, her complaint was not stable with that. Two bald patches with 2-3 cm were present on her scalp. The patient was suffering from severe diffused hair loss with about 100 hair strands falling per day. The exact reason for her patchy hair loss was unknown. The patient was having normal thyroid functions.
She was also suffering from hypertension and diabetes, for which she was under conventional medicine. Also, she had gastritis problem.
She had a past medical history of Renal calculi. She had a family medical history of gastritis, hypertension, and diabetes.
The patient was an eggetarian and liked to have sweets and sour things. She did not like eating spicy things generally. Her thirst was moderate, and she liked the warm climate. Her bowels were satisfactory. Her sleep was disturbed due to anxiety about family. Her menses were regular.
The patient did not have any major stress. She was sentimental by nature. She was very sensitive about the relationship.
After a thorough evaluation of the patient’s symptoms, Dr. Rajesh Shah prescribed a suitable research-based homeopathic remedy to the patient. The patient stopped taking conventional medicine.
Follow-Ups:
After 2 months of following the homeopathic treatment, during her first follow-up in November 2018, the patient showed a 20% improvement in recovery from alopecia areata. New hair growth was observed in both the bald patches of her scalp. But, an insignificant new patch was observed on her left eyebrow. So, revised medicines were given to the patient.
After 1.5 months of following homeopathic treatment, during the follow-up on 6th December 2018, a further improvement was noticed. Almost 75% improvement was observed in the relief in the left eyebrow’s condition.
During the follow-up in January 2019, both the bald patches on her scalp showed around 50% improvement in terms of recovery. The patch on her left eyebrow was stable. No new patches had developed.
During the follow-up in February 2019, old patches were stable, but general diffuse hair loss had increased.
During the follow-up in April 2019, her general hair fall had reduced, and the recovery from patches was improving further.
In May 2019, the patient’s patches were stable. No new patches had developed. The eyebrow patch was stable and not significant.
During the follow-up in June 2019, almost 75% improvement in terms of hair regrowth was observed. Further hair regrowth was observed during the next follow-ups, and the patient’s condition was stable.
During the follow-up in September 2019, improvement in her recovery from alopecia areata was around 90%.
In the last follow-up in November 2019, a complete regrowth of hairs on the scalp patches and eyebrow patch was observed.
The patient was satisfied with the results and stopped the treatment.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates that a complete recovery from Alopecia areata of recent origin is possible with homeopathic treatment within a short span and without any side-effects.
