Nail Psoriasis, A Difficult Variant Of Psoriasis, Treated Effectively With Homeopathy

The parents of a 10-year-old child noticed some discoloration of the toenail of their son i.e. Mast. R.Z. (LFMPL PIN: 23659) in early 2014. It persisted like that for around 6 months, and, gradually, it started to spread to more toenails and then to fingernails. The doctors did the fungal test but they did not find any fungi. However, when another doctor did other lab tests, they found traces of Psoriasis, and the condition was diagnosed as Nail Psoriasis. His nails were unhealthy, crumbled, and had black discoloration. He had used Clobetasol propionate Topical Solution 0.05 % and Salicylic Acid 6% with no change in the complaint. Mast. R.Z. resides in the USA, so they opted for the online treatment under Dr. Shah in December 2015.

Mast. R.Z. was an intelligent and inquisitive child. He liked helping other kids and was a good friend of other students in the class. According to the class teacher, he was an obedient and helpful child.

Physical Generals:

He had an average appetite and had a craving for sweets.

In the past, he suffered from seasonal allergies. The father of the patient had vitiligo. His maternal uncle suffered from a fungal infection of the nail.

Dr. Shah prescribed Calcarea Phos 30 along with his research-based medicines for 4 months.

We treat patients from the USA, UK, Canada, Australia, UAE & 180 more countries. Get an expert opinion on your ailment, click here to ask Dr. Shah's team directly.

Follow-Ups:

After the first 4 months of homeopathic treatment on 31st March 2016, the patient informed that there was no improvement noticed in his condition.

On 14th July 2016, the parents of the patient informed that there was a little change in his fingernails, however, the toenails were as it is stable.

His parents were quite concerned as a response to the treatment was slow, so, it was explained to them that the patient’s nail being the hardest of appendages and as the process of nail growth is slow, the recovery from nail Psoriasis could be even slower to bring about the desired positive changes. Psoriasis of the nail is extremely difficult to treat, particularly, when the recovery is aimed at treating the disease from the root with internal homeopathic medicines.

In the feedback dated 7th May 2018, his recovery from psoriasis affecting his fingernails was better by 90% and that of toenails by 70%.

After 3.5 years of continuous Homeopathic treatment, he has recovered completely. His finger and toenails returned to normal nail texture.

Conclusion:

This case highlights that homeopathy is highly effective in treating nail psoriasis successfully and safely without any side-effects. It can take time to get rid of nail psoriasis but the treatment is available, and nail psoriasis can be effectively treated at the root level with Homeopathy.
