A Kid Recovered From Nephrotic Syndrome Remarkably With Homeopathy
A 4-year-old girl child patient, Ms. S.V. (PIN: 34535) visited Paud branch of Life Force Homeopathy with her parents on 27th November 2017. The patient was a known case of Nephrotic Syndrome.
Its complaints had started bothering the patient one year back with fever, edema on the body, & mild irritability. And, after the tests were done, it was diagnosed as Nephrotic Syndrome. The case was steroid-masked & was progressive.
During the episode, she used to experience symptoms, such as proteinuria, irritability, a reduced appetite, weakness, orbital and pedal edema, and bloating of the abdomen. She also had a tendency of suffering from the cold frequently. Her sequence of episodes was as below.
1st Episode on - 1st September 2016
2nd Episode - 3rd March 2017
3rd Episode - 17th August 2017
4th Episode - 15th November 2017
She had no significant past medical history. She had a family medical history of diabetes mellitus, hypothyroidism, and frequent colds.

She also had the discomforting symptoms of the frequent cold.
She was a non-vegetarian. She had a craving for salty and non-veg foods. She had an aversion to milk.
She very stubborn, angry and used to get angry on small trivial matters. If anyone denied her things, she would shout & throw the household items. She used to mix-up easily and was quite adjustable. She was more attached to her father.
She was taking Prednisolone 20 mg 1-tab OD alternate & T. Levamisole 50mg 50 mg 1-tab daily OD.
After a detailed case analysis, Dr. Shah prescribed research-based medicine for Nephrotic Syndrome. She was advised to follow the right diet and regimen too.
Follow-Ups:
On the first follow-up of the patient on 16th January 2018, the patient had not experienced any episode in the last one and a half months. Her proteinuria and irritability had reduced. Her appetite had increased. Her weakness, Orbital & Pedal edema, and bloating had reduced 100% i.e. completely. Her tendency to suffer from colds too had reduced. She was taking Prednisolone 10mg 1-tab OD alternate & T. Levamisole 50mg 50 mg 1-tab daily OD.
On the second follow-up on 16th March 2018, she had not experienced any episode in the last three months. Her proteinuria, irritability, & weakness had reduced further. She was no more suffering from edema and bloating. Her tendency to experience the discomfort of colds too had reduced. She was taking Prednisolone 10mg 1-tab OD alternate (will reduce dose to 5mg since 21st March) & T. Levamisole 50mg 50 mg 1-tab daily OD.
On her third follow-up on 27th April 2018, no episode of the nephrotic syndrome had bothered her after starting with the homeopathic treatment. Her proteinuria, irritability, and weakness had reduced further. She no more suffered from edema and bloating. Also, her tendency to experience the discomfort of colds had reduced. She was taking Prednisolone 5mg 1-tab OD alternate & T. Levamisole 50mg 50 mg 1-tab daily OD.
On the fourth follow-up on 22nd June 2018, she had experienced a relapse of one acute episode just previous day. Her reports dated 22nd June 2018 showed protein leakage 3+. No other symptoms were bothering her. She had stopped taking Prednisolone from 1 month and restarted 10 mg of it since yesterday.
On the fifth follow-up on 6th October 2018, she told that she had experienced one episode of nephrotic syndrome in August 2018. Her reports showed that the protein leakage in August 2018 was +4. No other symptoms were bothering her. She was taking 2.5 mg Prednisolone alternate since October & continue levamisole 50 mg.
When she gave her sixth follow-up on 17th November 2018, she mentioned that she had not experienced any episode of nephrotic syndrome since September 2018. Her protein in urine was nil. No other symptoms were bothering her. She had stopped taking Prednisolone from 15 to 20 days.
When she gave her seventh follow-up on 8th January 2019, the patient had not experienced any episode from the last four months. No other symptoms were bothering her. She had stopped taking Prednisolone.
When she gave her eighth follow-up on 22nd February 2019, she had experienced protein discharge in the mid of January 2019 for a few days. No other symptoms were bothering her. She had taken Prednisolone 5 mg alternate day from 13th January 2019 to 3rd February 2019 and then stopped taking it.
Later, when she gave her ninth follow-up on 23rd April 2019, she had not experienced an episode of nephrotic syndrome in the last six weeks. No other symptoms were bothering her. She had stopped taking Prednisolone completely.
The patient is happy and satisfied with the treatment received at Life Force and is continuing it for further recovery.
Conclusion:
This case shows how homeopathy helps towards better management of Nephrotic Syndrome. Also, homeopathy helps in reducing the dosage of steroids slowly and then stopping them completely.
