A Japanese Patient Finds A Complete Relief In Her Long-Standing PCOD Complaint With Homeopathy
A 40-year-old lady from Japan, Mrs. R.M. (PIN: 23684) consulted Dr. Shah on 21st December 2015 for the treatment of Polycystic Ovarian Disease (PCOD) from which she was suffering from the past 20 years. Her menstrual cycle was irregular, and she would get menses once in 3 months. She used to experience a heavy menstrual flow with clots. Gradually, she had put on weight, and she was finding it difficult to reduce her weight in spite of following proper exercise and diet. Besides this, she was experiencing the development of undesirable extra hair growth on her face and chest. She had a difficulty to conceive due to her irregular menstrual cycle and had a history of 10 miscarriages. So, she had taken IVF treatment for pregnancy. In the past, she had taken hormonal and homeopathic treatment from some other homeopath for her PCOD.
Besides this PCOD, she was also suffering from Allergic Rhinitis. Daily, she used to suffer from the episodes of cold that would start with sneezing, watery discharge, and a stuffy nose.
With regards to physical generals, her diet was mixed. She preferred spicy food. She had the tendency to sweat profusely. She was intolerant to the hot weather. She had satisfactory bowel and bladder habits.
She was a homemaker, and her husband was an IT professional. She had a 6-year-old lovely daughter. She was a very friendly, confident, outgoing and genuinely helpful person.
In her family, her father suffered from Diabetes and had a heart ailment. Even her mother had Diabetes.
After studying and analyzing her case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed SEPIA-30c with his research-based medicines to the patient.
After 4 months of a continuous treatment on 14th April 2016, the patient informed that she had not found much relief in her complaints. She informed that she started getting menses every month after starting the treatment, but the flow was very light and she would bleed only for a day. Still, she was putting on weight. It was explained to the patient that, even though she was not having a normal menstrual flow, if she is getting menses every month then it is a good sign. She was counseled and was informed that she is responding positively to the treatment.
On 27th August 2016, the patient informed that she was not getting menses in every month and she was feeling more stressed out and depressed. She had become more irritable then, and she was unhappy as she was not finding satisfactory effective results after 8 months of continuous treatment. Her case was reevaluated and Dr. Shah upgraded her prescription.
On 7th May 2017, the patient informed that her menses were regular and occurred in every month. She was getting menses but the flow was heavy. Her weight was stable. Dr. Shah prescribed the same set of medicines to the patient.
She continued taking medicines, and, in November 2017, she informed that her menstrual cycle is regular, she had normal menstrual flow, and, more importantly, she had lost 6-7 kgs of weight. Losing weight was a big challenge for her from the past 20 years. She was very thankful to Dr. Shah.
