Steroid Masked Psoriasis Responded Incredibly To Homeopathic Treatment
A 44-years-old lady, Mrs. V.D.G. (PIN: 35603) visited Life Force Homeopathy in February 2018 for the treatment of Psoriasis.
She was suffering from Palmoplantar psoriasis and Psoriatic arthritis for almost 3 years when she visited Life Force. Her complaints had started due to the stressful environment in the family. She would develop thick, dry, and scaly eruptions on her palms and soles. The skin on her palms and soles would turn extremely dry and result in painful cracks. Eventually, the cracks would bleed. She would experience pain and swelling of multiple joints in her body, including ankles, wrists, knees, and elbows.
She was on oral as well as local steroids as she had a severe flare-up. She was using Topclo lotion (clobetasol: steroid), Clodip cream (Clobetasol propionate: steroid), Luliclin Cream (luliconazole), Bioroz Capsule (antibiotics), and Tab. Allofex 180 (antihistamine) for 2-3 months.
When she visited Life Force, her disease was steroid-masked. She took homeopathic treatment for 9-10 months from a local homeopath, but there was no significant improvement in her condition. She tried Ayurvedic treatment for a few days and stopped it, as there was no improvement in her condition.
She had an associated complaint of high cholesterol for which she was taking the conventional treatment.
In the past, she had suffered from renal calculi and was operated for it. Her father suffered from diabetes, and her mother was hypertensive.
She would prefer a vegetarian diet, and her appetite was average. She was staying with her husband and her 20 years old son. Her husband had his own business, and she was a housewife.
After examining and analyzing the case details thoroughly, Dr. Shah prescribed her Antimonium Crudum 30, Petroleum 30, and research-based medicines.
During her first follow up in March 2018, the patient reported an increase in both Palmo-plantar psoriasis and psoriatic arthritis. The reason was the effect of steroid withdrawal. She had stopped oral as well as local steroids when she started following homeopathic treatment. Dr. Shah revised the prescription, based on the follow-up.
In April 2018, there was 40% improvement in her relief from psoriasis. Her discomforting symptoms of thickness, dryness, and cracks had reduced. There was no bleeding from the cracks on her palms and soles. There was a significant improvement in her relief from psoriatic arthritis. The pain and swelling in her multiple joints had decreased by 70%. The patient continued the medicine prescribed by Dr. Shah.
In May 2018, there was a 50% reduction in plantar psoriasis of the patient, whereas there was 100% improvement in her recovery from eruptions on her palms. The patient reported a further improvement of around 75% in her recovery from psoriatic arthritis. There was no swelling over her affected joints. She would just experience an occasional pain.
The patient is happy with the treatment, as before visiting Life Force she was not responding to any treatment, not even steroids. But, after going for our homeopathic medicines, she responded well and her condition improved a lot. She is still taking treatment from Life Force for the further recovery.
Conclusion:
Psoriasis is a disease on the skin, and it is not a disease of the skin. This means that psoriasis is a disease of internal, immunological system that manifests on the skin. The topical treatment for it tends to be short-lasting and superficial. Homeopathic treatment for psoriasis aims at addressing the immunological factors responsible for its development, and hence it offers long-lasting positive results without any side effects.
