Case-1: Elderly lady suffering from Multiple System Atrophy finds relief with homeopathy
Mrs. U.S. (Patient Ref. No. L-10092) a lady aged 61 years, suffering from Multiple System Atrophy for 2 years came to the clinic. She complained of tremendous weakness. She would get tired easily on talking for even five minutes. Her speech was slurred. Her gait was affected. There was loss of balance when walking. She would fall at times. So, there was great difficulty in moving around. She could not be left alone. She could not talk for long. She had difficulty in writing. The quality of life was affected to a great extent.
Her daughter reported that her sleep was disturbed. She had REM (Rapid eye movement) Disorder. She was a light sleeper, would get awakened easily. She had many dreams, but she could not remember. She would enact her dreams in sleep, with her eyes closed.
The MRI report reported no abnormality in the brain. However, there were certain degenerative changes in the spine.
She was on physiotherapy since one year with little relief.
She was a shy, introvert lady. She was highly emotional towards her family.
Her husband was a retired DCP (Deputy Commissioner of Police). Most of her time earlier, was spent taking care of her children and looking after the household. But now as she was restricted due to this disease, it was hard for her to carry on this way with life.
She had one son who was married and settled, and one daughter who had decided to remain single. This worried the patient a lot.
She would not express her feelings to anyone, would keep her worries by herself and would cry when alone.
Her mother was reported of having a similar CNS disorder. There was no significant history of any other illness in the family.
She was started with Dr Shah’s research based remedy.
In eight weeks of treatment the patient had a general feeling of well being with hardly any improvement in the speech and gait.
With continuation of further treatment in four months, her appetite improved, sleep was better. The weakness was relatively better than before. She was found to be a lot more cheerful than earlier.
Mrs. U.S. is still under our care at Life force. We are working on this difficult disease condition and look forward to further improvement. We, obviously, do not claim in such resistant cases, but even if we can achieve definite symptomatic relief and disease control, it will be considered significant.
