Retinal Detachment Homeopathic Treatment

Retinal detachment is when the retina peels off from the underlying supportive tissue. The retina is the innermost layer of the eye that reacts to light and forms images. It is a medical emergency.

Symptoms:

The patient sees floaters, cobwebs or specks or light flashes or a curtain over the field of vision, heaviness in the eye, a dense shadow that moves from the peripheral vision to central vision, straight lines appearing curved

Risk Factors:

01 Aging

02 Injury to the eye

03 Injury to the head

04 Family history of Retinal Detachment

05 Myopia of long standing

06 Other eye diseases like uveitis

07 Post cataract surgery

08 Diabetic Retinopathy

09 Sickle Cell Disease

Treatment:

Laser Surgery or freeze treatment known as cryopexy is used to treat retinal detachment. Surgical results are best if the macula (a point in the retina where the light is concentrated and images are formed) is not affected.

Homeopathy has no role to play in the treatment of Retinal Detachment.
