A Remarkable Recovery From Meniere’s Disease Found With Homeopathy At Life Force

A 32-year-old lady, Mrs. T.A.N. (PIN: 25545) visited Life Force on 30th April 2015 with the complaint of Meniere's disease, which she was suffering from 2 years, and it had increased in the duration and frequency of its episodes since 3 months.

She presented with severe vertigo with swaying to the right, severe tinnitus, and heaviness in the head on the right side and neck. She was experiencing a constant echo in the ears associated with a headache. 

She was experiencing an aggravation in all the complaints while lying down, getting up from the lying down position, by stress, and due to disturbed sleep. She used to experience weakness after the attacks of Meniere's disease.

Her headache was severe and was a routine thing for her. Tinnitus in her ears was making her life miserable. Initially, the episodes used to affect her after every 6 months, then it used to affect her every 3- 4 months, later they used to affect her every month, and, from the last three months, they used to affect her every day. 

She was taking the following medicines from 20 days: 
1.Tab. Biohistin 16mg TDS 
2.Tab.Mebalin OD 
3.Tab. Triple Cal OD 
4.Tab. Propranolol (20mg) 1/2 tablet daily.
In the past, she had taken Tab. Stematin OD or Tab. Vertin OD on and off whenever she used to experience the attack.

She was also having the complaint of Maxillary sinusitis for many years along with the complaints of headache, heaviness, feeling choked up, and a dry cough. She used to experience an aggravation in all her complaints in the winter and while bending down.

Her case was taken in details, by explaining to her the importance of the medical details in treating her Meniere's disease.  She was looking for faster results. She was explained about the nature of the disease and the need for long-term treatment. 

She was having a mixed diet, and her appetite was good. She had a liking for spicy food and sweets. Her thirst for water had decreased to 1 liter per day. Her perspiration was scanty. Her urine and bowel habits were normal. Thermally, she was a very chilly patient and had a sensitivity to the draft. Her sleep was sound. Her menses were regular. She used to suffer from a backache two days before the menses. She was having a disturbed sleep with dreams of water, confusion, and meaningless dreams. 

She was a housewife. Her husband was a CCTV officer in a mall. She was having one daughter studying in 2nd standard. She was dissatisfied at that stage of life. She had worries with regards to the financial matters. She was a decision taker. She was having fears of water and darkness. 

She was having the past medical history of GERD and typhoid, which had affected her twice. 
Her mother was having otitis media, and both her maternal grandparents were having diabetes.

Her case details were taken and studied in depth by Dr. Shah.  Along with the medicines, she was counseled to maintain a calm mind and a positive approach towards the situation.
Follows-Ups:
In the very first follow-up after 1.5 months of the treatment in May 2015, Mrs. T. A. N. reported that her relief from vertigo was 50% better. But, her tinnitus, heaviness in the right side of the head, and weakness were as it is. She had started feeling slightly positive. Her relief from the cervical stiffness was 50% better, but it had increased in the last 2 days.

At follow-up after three months of the treatment in June 2015, Mrs. T. A. N. reported that her relief from vertigo and tinnitus was better by 80%. Her relief from the heaviness on the right side of head and weakness was also better by 50%. The frequency and intensity of her complaints were much less. She started feeling that her life was coming back on the right track. Her relief from cervical stiffness was 70% better. 

At the follow-up after 4.5 months of the treatment in August 2015, Mrs. T. A. N. reported that her relief from vertigo and tinnitus was better by 80% to 90%, but it had increased since the last 20 days. At the follow-up after 9 months of the treatment in January 2016, Mrs. T.A.N. reported that her vertigo discomfort had started again after her brother's death but with lesser intensity and frequency. Her relief from tinnitus was better by 75% and its intensity was much lesser than earlier.  The heaviness in the right side of her head was still as it is. At the follow-up after 12 months of the treatment in April 2016, Mrs. T.A.N. reported that her relief from vertigo was better by 75%, but, still, mild intensity attacks used to occur. Her tinnitus discomfort had increased. The heaviness in the right side of her head was still as it is. Her weakness was also as it is. Her cervical stiffness had increased further.  

At the follow-up after 13.5 months of the treatment in May 2016, the patient reported that her symptoms of vertigo had increased from the last week, due to her visit to the amusement park. Also, her tinnitus had increased. The heaviness in the right side of the head was still as it is. Her weakness was also as it is. Her cervical stiffness had increased further.  

When she gave a follow-up after 16 months of the treatment in July 2016, the patient reported that her relief from vertigo was better and she had experienced no attacks of it recently. Her relief from tinnitus was also better by 50%. The heaviness in the right side of the head was still as it is.  Her cervical stiffness had increased from the last 10 days.  
When she gave a follow-up after 1.5 years of the treatment in September 2016, Mrs. T.A.N. reported that her relief from vertigo was better by 50% and tinnitus was also 50% better. The heaviness in the right side of her head was still as it is.  Her cervical stiffness had increased from the last one month due to working on the computer.  

At the follow-up after 20 months of the treatment in November 2016, Mrs. T. A. N. reported that her vertigo complaints had increased due to a gap of medicines and as she had traveled out of the station. Her relief from tinnitus was 50% better. The heaviness in the right side of her head had increased due to the change in weather and climate change.  Her relief from cervical stiffness was 75% better.

At the follow-up after 23.5 months of the treatment in March 2017, the patient reported that she was overall 90% better, but her vertigo complaints had increased from the last 4 days due to stress, and her relief from tinnitus was 50% better. Her relief from the heaviness in the right side of her head was 25% better. Also, her relief from cervical stiffness was 25% better.

At the follow-up after 24.5 months of the treatment in March 2017, the patient reported that she was overall 90% better. Her relief from vertigo was 75% better, and her relief from tinnitus was 50% better. The heaviness on the right side of her head had increased.  Her cervical stiffness had also increased.

At the follow-up after 26.5 months of the treatment in June 2017, the patient reported that her vertigo was as it is and the pain in her right ear and vibrations had increased from the last one week. The heaviness in the right side of her head had also increased.  Her cervical stiffness had also increased.

When the patient gave a follow-up after 28 months of the treatment in July 2017, she reported that no major episode had affected. Her vertigo was as it is, and the pain in her right ear and vibrations were also as it is. The heaviness in the right side of her head was also as it is.  Her cervical stiffness was also as it is.
At the follow-up after 29.5 months of the treatment in September 2017, Mrs. T.A.N. reported that no major episode had affected her, except for the pain in her right ear had increased from the last two days. Her relief from vertigo was 50% better and pain in the right ear and vibrations had increased from the last 2 days. Her relief from the heaviness on the right side of her head was also 50% better.  Her relief from cervical stiffness was also 50% better.

At the follow-up after 31 months of the treatment in September 2017, Mrs. T.A.N. reported that no major episode had affected her. Her vertigo was occasional, and her relief from the pain in her right ear and vibrations was 50% better. The heaviness in the right side of her head was increased from the last two weeks.  Her cervical stiffness had increased from the last two weeks.

At the follow-up after 33 months of the treatment in January 2018, the patient reported that she had experienced an acute episode from the last two days due to a respiratory infection. Her vertigo discomfort had increased and the pain in her right ear and vibrations were also increased from the last two days. The heaviness in the right side of her head had increased from the last days.  Her cervical stiffness had increased further.
At the follow-up after 35 months of the treatment in March 2018, Mrs. T.A.N. reported that a prolonged episode of an increase in all her complaints was experienced by her from the last two months. Although her relief from vertigo was 50% better, and the pain in her right ear and vibrations were increased further. The heaviness in the right side of her head was as it is. Her cervical stiffness was also as it is.

At the follow-up after 38 months of the treatment in June 2018, the patient reported that her complaints were still as it is.  Her discomfort due to vertigo had increased with three episodes due to irregularity in taking the medicines. The pain in her right ear and vibrations were as it is. The heaviness in the right side of her head was as it is.  Her cervical stiffness was also as it is.

At the follow-up after 40 months of the treatment in August 2018, Mrs. T.A.N. reported that she had experienced an overall improvement of 70% in terms of relief. Her relief from vertigo was better, and her relief from the pain in the right ear and vibrations was also better. The heaviness in the right side of her head was as it is. Her relief from cervical stiffness was also better.

At the follow-up after 41 months of the treatment in September 2018, Mrs. T.A.N. reported that her overall improvement in her health was better. Her relief from vertigo was also about 75% further better. She had experienced just 2 episodes in the last 2 months. Her relief from the pain in the right ear and vibrations was also 75% better. The heaviness in the right side of her head was as it is. Her relief from cervical stiffness was also better.

At the follow-up after 43 months of the treatment in November 2018, Mrs. T.A.N. reported that the overall improvement in her health was better not only until the last 2 months but also it was the same afterward. Her relief from vertigo was about 75% further better. The pain in her right ear was as it is, but her relief from vibrations was 75% better. The heaviness in the right side of her head was as it is.  Her relief from cervical stiffness was also 50% better.

At the follow-up after 45 months of the treatment in January 2019, Mrs. T.A.N. reported that her overall health improvement was 50% better. Vertigo used to occur occasionally and her relief from it was better by about 75%. Her relief from the pain in the right ear was also better, and her relief from the vibrations was 75% better. The heaviness in the right side of her head was as it is. Her relief from cervical stiffness was also 50% better.

At the follow-up after 4 years of the treatment in May 2019, Mrs. T.A.N. reported that her overall health improvement was 75% better. Vertigo used to occur occasionally, and her relief from vertigo was about 75% better. The pain in her right ear had increased from the last two months, but her relief from the vibrations was 75% better. The heaviness in the right side of her head was 50% better. Her relief from cervical stiffness was also 50% better. 

The patient is still continuing with the treatment for complete recovery.

Conclusion:
This case highlights that Meniere’s disease is a difficult disorder to treat, but it can be relieved by a continuous and prolonged Homeopathic treatment. Homeopathy is highly effective in treating Meniere’s disease significantly and safely without any side-effects.
