80% recovery in a case of extensive lichen planus with Homeopathy

A forty-three-year-old male Mr. S.S. (Patient Identification No: 5801), residing in Raichur, Karnataka; availed our online treatment for Lichen Planus on 28th May 2003.

He was introduced to Life Force by his treating dentist Dr. S.H. His case details were obtained through an email. He had extensive lichen planus lesions in the mouth. He had burning sensation in the mouth from the past 2 years. He had difficulty in eating hot and spicy food. He would have mouth ulcers occasionally. His quality of life had deteriorated due to his oral lichen planus.

His appetite was normal. He would particularly dislike sweets. He was more tolerant to hot climate. He was a tall and flabby person.

He was a businessman. He was anxious by nature. He would easily get angry but would soon get calm. His mother suffered from diabetes mellitus.

His case was studied by Dr. Shah and he prescribed researched based medicine for oral lichen planus which were sent to him.

Within first two months of medications, he showed 25% improvement. His burning in the mouth had reduced. He did not have any complaints of mouth ulcers.

After six months of treatment, his biopsy reports revealed that his lichen planus was under healing process. He continued his treatment for another 1 year,  after which he discontinued the treatment as he was feeling remarkably better.

After a gap of two years, there was a mild relapse in his oral lichen planus. His treatment was re-started. He reported in his progress feedback submitted in May 2009 of 80% improvement in his oral lichen planus. He mentioned that his oral cavity was examined by his local dentist, who informed him of significant recovery. His treatment was then discontinued.

After another two years, there was again a mild relapse of the old lesions. There was no burning but the redness in the oral cavity had increased. He took medicines for 6 months and his lichen planus came under control. His oral mucosa biopsy proved negative.

After 3 years, he visited Life Force on 28th August 2014. Since last 6-7 months, the tip of his tongue was affected with lichen planus. There was no burning and no pain. There was only redness over the tip of the tongue. He did not want his lichen planus to progress further. His case was reviewed and his medicines were re-started. He was glad to report that, homeopathic medicines have been a boon for him in the management of his disease.
