It is very effective in treating psoriasis. There are dry, rough, scaly lesions which are worse in cold. It is indicated in cases where there is thickening of the skin. There is intense itching and burning in the patches.

Sulphur:

Sulphur is the remedy used where the skin is very unhealthy looking. There is itching and burning sensation of the affected part which is worst after scratching and washing. Eruptions at the margins of hair. Also, there is dryness and heat of scalp with intense itching, especially at night.

Graphites:

Graphites is a very useful skin remedy. It is used in cases where the eruptions are in the bends of elbows, groins, behind the ears, neck. The skin is dry and cracked. Cracks in nipples, mouth, between toes. The skin, especially at the back of the hands, become dry, hard, thick, fissured.

Petroleum:

Petroleum is used in psoriasis especially of hands. There is a thick crust on skin with burning and itching sensation. Cracks bleed easily. Skin is very dry, sensitive, rough and leathery. Itching especially at night.

Natrum Muraticum:

Indications for the use of Natrum Muraticum in psoriasis are dry eruptions especially on the margin of hairy scalp and bends of joints. The skin is greasy, oily, especially on hairy parts. There are crusty eruptions in the bends of limbs, the margin of the scalp, behind the ears.
