Surgery avoided, tonsillitis treated in a six and half year old girl

Six and half years old girl,(L-9520) presented with frequent attacks of Tonsillitis for last 5 years. She would develop colds and then severer tonsillitis accompanied with high grade fever. The pediatrician would examine her thought and diagnose it as septic tonsillitis on most occasions. Due to her frequent attacks and enlarged tonsils, she was suggested tonsil surgery by the ENT doctor. Parents opted for homeopathy, instead. Her treatment was started at Life Force. She was thoroughly investigated to rule out major infection such as Tuberculosis, as she failed to put on weight. Her x-way and Mantoux test were normal. The child had normal appetite, had craving for ice-creams, chocolates, junk food and aversion to spicy food. Her thirst and perspiration were normal. Her bowels and urine were regular and satisfactory. She preferred cold climate. Had normal height and was underweight (21.5kgs). She was quite shy by nature. Mother informed that she was a fussy child. She liked dancing, music, and painting. She did not have past history of any major illness. There was family history of her father, mother and sister having frequent tonsillitis and respiratory infections. Her paternal grandfather had grandmother has Hypertension. Maternal grandfather had had hypertension and diabetes. Suitable homeopathic treatment was administered based on the case study. She was prescribed a set of medicines, comprising of what is called as the constitutional medicine (to address her totality), a nosode (to address the genetic predisposition) and some acute medicines to handle acute infections. The medicines were given at suitable intervals as per a well defined plan. With first two months’ homeopathy medicines her condition improved remarkably. In next six months time, she had only one mild episode of Tonsil infection. She did not require antibiotics any longer. Her treatment was continued for over one year. Her appetite improved and she gained 1.5 kg weight in 8 months. The parents took her to the ENT doctor who now opined that there is no need for tonsil surgery!
