A 33 years aged young woman Mrs V.J. (Patient Identification Number 16931) came to Life Force for the treatment of Poly Cystic Ovarian Disease on 9 September 2011.

She was suffering from irregular menses. Her sonography report showed bulky ovaries with multiple small follicles with signs of pcod. Her case was studied in detail. She was basically from Nagpur. She had completed her engineering. Her father was working for the Railway. Her mother was a house wife. She had an elder sister who was married and a younger brother who was studying. She described her father as dominating and irritable. She had frequent arguments with him. He did not support her views and ambitions. Patient wanted to go to Mumbai for better job opportinities. However he was not willing to send her to Mumbai. Finally she left the home against his wishes and worked in an office in Mumbai. With the help of friends she finally got a good job in a construction firm and she could fulfil her dreams. She married a close friend and was very happy with her life. However she had suffered a lot to achieve this. Since her childhood, she felt unloved and neglected. This lowered her self esteem. She felt inferior to others. She had become very irritable and sad. She had a feeling that her family did not care for her. This had lead to leaving the house with a heavy heart. Gradually she was accepted in her house. She would visit the house with good gifts for every one. She even offered to support her brothers education. She preferred the cold climate. She was short and stout. She had gained a few extra kilos due to pcod. She had a craving for sweets. She also suffered from recurrent colds and acid peptic disorder and under-active thyroid. She felt that the stress she faced all these years was responsible for her ill-health. She had a lot of bitterness within. Dr Shah examined her and asked a few relevant questions and prescribed Natrum- Muriaticum 30c. She got good improvement in her colds and acidity. She was advised to continue thyronorm for her underactive thyroid. She visited the center every 6-8 weeks for follow up. There was good improvement in all aspects. However her periods were still irregular. Then Dr Shah upgraded the dose to Natrum Muriaticum 200c. This gave very good results. She gave the good news of her pregnancy on 2 June 2012. In the management of pcod, in married women, the most often solution the patient is seeking is for conception. The goal of homeopathic treatment in such cases is to facilitate pregnancy. In young girls, the main complaints are irregular menses, delayed menses, weight gain, acne and hair fall. Homeopathy helps to regularize menses and reduce the cysts.
