A 77 years old patient Mr. S.P. (Patient Identification number 14830) visited Life Force Center on September 14th 2010 for the treatment of his trigeminal neuralgia. He was suffering with the neuralgia since 5 months He would get stabbing type of pain only while gargling but not while eating. He would get the pain 4-5 times a day.
He was on Tegratol 200 mg one a day for 4 days, after taking Tegratol his pain would subside for 2-3 days.
He was also suffering from gout and heart disease.
He had an average appetite with strong desire for sweets and aversion to sour. His perspiration, bowel and urination were normal. Sleep was sound. There was no family history of any major illness.
Mr. S.P. was a retired air force pilot. He has received President Gallantry Award. He has trained 500 pilots for India. He was a very high ranked holder in Indian Air Force. He was very punctual, honest and disciplined. He likes to be always on fighter mode, less communication but very short tempered if anybody would break the rule.
Based on the above history Dr Rajesh Shah has prescribed Lycopodium 30 for 6 weeks.
After 8 weeks he reported that he was a lot better and his neuralgia was 75 % less. His medicines were continued for next 2 months.
His second visit was on 14 December 2011. He was feeling much better. The frequency of the neuralgia had reduced from 4-5 times a day to no pain since 40 days.
His third visit was on January 3 2011. But this time his frequency of pain had increased as regards to number of episodes, he had 5 attacks in a month. He was having unbearable pain since last 10 days, was unable to eat without taking Tegratol. He had increased the dose of Tegratol from 200 to 600 mg since 10 days, but there was little relief in the neuralgia. New medicines were given to him.
He visited us after a month. In this visit he is much better from previous medications; frequency of pain had reduced from everyday to once in a month. He was able to reduce the dose of Tegratol from 600 to 100 mg twice a day.
His recent visit was on March 29th 2011. He was having no complaints since February 14 2011; he felt as if it he was completely cured. He has not experienced a single episode of pain since last 6 weeks. Now Dr Shah has advised him to reduce the dose of Tegratol from 100 mg to 50 mg. Medicines from our clinic have been given to him for next 2 months.
