A 29 years old female came to Life Force...Hair thinning reduced considerably..

A 29 years old female Mrs. S.V. (Patient Identification Number 13204) visited Life Force on 18th January 2010 with the complaint of Hair Fall. She was suffering from Hair Fall since last five years. She would loose more than hundred hair strands per day and there was considerable hair thinning. She was not on any regular medication for her Hair Fall.

She would get small multiple boils on her scalp. She was suffering from this complaint since last five to six years but it had increased since the last two years. On examination there were 5-6 small pus filled boils on her head with severe pain. She had taken conventional medicines for this complaint with which there was some relief, but after stopping allopathic medicines, she again started getting boils.

She also had complaints of Hypothyroidism and Uterine Fibroid. She had a past history of frequent urine infections and Kidney stones.

There was very strong family history of Kidney disease, Diabetes Mellitus and Hypertension. Her grandfather had suffered from Tuberculosis.

Her appetite was good with strong craving for spicy and sour food. Perspiration was profuse and generalized. She was a hot patient with marked aggravation from warm weather. Her menses were regular. Sleep was sound with dreams of childhood and school days.

Mrs. S.V. was a house wife. In the past she had worked as a financial news reporter in Bangalore. She was fastidious and a perfectionist. At the same time, she was very short tempered and would scold others easily. She had her own principles about life. Her childhood was a bit stressful. She would feel neglected by her parents, as her parents paid more attention towards her brother.

Dr. Shah studied her case in detail and prescribed homeopathic medicines. In first two months there was not much improvement in her Hair Fall. Boils over the scalp reduced, the pain was less. In her further follow ups, her Hair Fall reduced to 50-80 hair strands per day.
