A Corticosteroid Dependent Patient Of Psoriasis Healed Incredibly With Homeopathy
A 68-year-old female patient, Mrs. S. S. (PIN: 24108) visited our Life Force clinic in November 2014 and started homeopathic treatment for her complaints of Palmo-planter psoriasis.
She was suffering from it for 15 years. The lesions of psoriasis were present on her legs, majorly on the foot region and soles. She was experiencing very intense itching in the lesions. Dryness and roughness were present all over her skin of the hands and legs. Hyperpigmented marks were observed on her skin. She was using oral and local applications of steroids & consuming antibiotics for the past 5 months, but she had stopped them as she experienced no positive results. Whenever she tried to reduce the dose of steroids, she noticed new lesions on the skin. The patient was very anxious about her illness.
Physical Generals:
The patient’s appetite was average. She had cravings for sour and salty food. Her thirst for water was average. The patient enjoyed a refreshing sleep.
Psychological and Family Make-Up:
She was a homemaker. The patient had a well-supported family. By nature, she was very mild and sensitive. She had no stress as such in her life.
Self and Family’s Medical History:
She had no medical history of any other major illness. Also, no history of any major illness was present in her family. The only thing she suffered from was hypertension, for which she was taking Anti-hypertensives.
At Life Force:
After studying the case in detail, Dr. Shah prescribed some research-based homeopathic medicines along with some dietary tips to the patient. The patient was also informed about tapering the dose of steroids and not stopping it all of a sudden as it can aggravate the disease.
Follow-Ups:
At the first follow-up on 29th December 2014, the patient reported to our Life Force clinic for a follow-up. A mild improvement was observed in the lesions of her palms and soles.
On 9th February 2015, the patient reported that she was further better with the medicines. She had experienced a good relief in the complaints and was almost better now. The itching was very minimal. No new lesions had developed, but the healing of active lesions was better.
On 30th April 2015, she had experienced improvement with the medicines. The itching was very negligible now. The spread of the disease was completely under control. She was overall stable with the medicines. She was 30% better with the Homeopathic medicines.
On 10th June 2015, the patient updated that she was almost better in her relief in the complaints. She no more experienced itching in the skin. There was no spread of the disease. Her active lesions had subsided. She experienced a great recovery from psoriasis with homeopathic medicines.
The patient thanked Dr. Shah and the whole Life Force team for treating her disease and eliminating her dependency on steroids. She is still under treatment to get recovered from her skin condition completely.
Conclusion:
This case illustrates that homeopathy is highly effective in treating psoriasis incredibly and safely without any adverse effects.
