Incredible Recovery From Osteoarthritis, Asthma, & Other Discomforts Found With Homeopathy
A 60-year-old housewife, Mrs. M. P. G. (PIN: 9147) visited our clinic on 1st December 2006. She was suffering from Osteoarthritis of both the knee joints for 5 – 6 years. She used to experience a throbbing pain with morning stiffness. The right knee would pain more than the left. Her pain would increase while walking and in the rainy season. Her X-Ray reports had shown osteoarthritis with osteopenia. She had severe, intermittent back pain for the last 5 years. Her pain would radiate up to the heels. The X-ray of the spine had shown reduced disc space between L5 – S1 with osteopenia. She was a known case of high blood pressure for 12 years. She would occasionally complain of giddiness, nausea, and weakness. She was also detected with diabetes 7 years back during a routine check-up. Her sugar levels were controlled with diet changes. She was not taking any medicines for her sugar levels. She had hypothyroidism as well for the last 6 years. She had been taking thyroid supplements to keep it under control.
She was a vegetarian by choice with no specific liking or disliking. She would perspire profusely. She was less tolerant of the warm weather. She had attained menopause more than 20 years back.
She was staying in a joint family with her husband, mother-in-law, sons, and their families. She was a homemaker. Her mother-in-law was very old. Her husband was a chartered accountant. Her elder son was in the automobile business, and he was married and well-settled. Also, her younger son was a chartered accountant, and he was also married and well-settled. Both her sons had a child each. She described her life as that of constant adjustment.
As there were 4 generations staying together, misunderstandings were bound to happen. She had to maintain a proper balance and peace by constantly adjusting herself as per her family members. Due to the constant adjustment, she would get angry or irritated but would never express it.
She had a family history of high blood pressure and diabetes.
Dr. Shah studied her case in detail and prescribed her Calcarea Floricum 200c and Bryonia Alba 200c along with some research-based medicines.
Follow-Ups:
On 5th September 2007, she reported a considerable improvement in her relief from her knee pain. Her back pain had reduced significantly.
She then visited our clinic again on 12th May 2011 with the complaints of Asthma, which she was suffering from for the last 8 months. Her knee pain and back pain had also started bothering her for 8 months. For almost 3 years, she was better in her relief from the knee pain and back pain. Now, she even complained of difficulty in walking and sensation as if there is no balance in her legs. She had been on Vertin tablet for the last 2 months. There was a difficulty in chewing along with a loss of smell and taste.
She had been on steroid inhalers for her asthma for the last 8 months. Her medicines for high blood pressure, diabetes, and thyroid condition were being taken regularly. She had been investigated for cardiac and neurological disorders, which had shown mild abnormalities.
Her case was reviewed in detail by Dr. Shah and was prescribed Natrum Sulphuricum 200c along with some research-based medicines.
After 8 months of the medication on 13th January 2012, her relief from knee pain was better by 50%. Her recovery from the loss of smell and vertigo were better by almost 70%. Her relief from breathlessness was much better than before.
