Referring to the success rate while treating the influenza virus, Shah believers that during the 1918 epidemic of influenza outbreak in America. Out of the 24,000 cases of flu 28.2 per cent died using allopathic medicines, while only 1.05 per cent died using homeopathy [Reference: The journal of the American Institute for Homeopathy, May 1921]
In such a scenario, he added that the health authorities should wake up and make homeopathic treatment compulsory for all the cases of seine flu. "Since the threat of swine flu is still high, treatment should be administered as fast as possible. It would be a wise move if homeopathic medicines are also administered along with the allopathic treatment, to get faster and more effective results. If homeopathy is not used for all the cases of Swine Flu, it should be considered as tantamount to medical negligence," he said.
The major problem with Swine flu is depression of immune system. Some homeopathic medicines are known to boost immune system. If homeopathic medicines are used that they would boost immunity that is specific to respiratory diseases, and in turn be effective preventive measure for Swine flu.
