A WEBSITE launched by Dr Rajesh Shah three years ago had now been updated with video-conferencing facility, where a person can get free advice on homeopathy from a qualified doctor via his computer.
Since the facility requires a specialised software, it is not used frequently, but Dr Shah claims he talks to atleast two patients per day through this method.
The video-conferencing is done through the homeopathy India Foundation's website (http://www.classicalhomoeopathy.com). Queries of all types from skin rashes to cancers are consulted via this website.
Dr Shah says, this has helped in increasing awareness about homeopathy in other parts of the world. "There are many countries in the world where homeopathy is banned. But through video-conferencing, we can help people get over many problems" he says.
Of the 60 states of United States, homeopathy can be practiced only in 15. In the Gulf, practicing homeopathy is completely banned. Chronic pains to severe ailments can be cured by homeopathy, with direct interaction through video-conferencing, the doctor says.
For example, one patient from United States was diagnosed as having ulcerative colitis. Doctors had advised hospitalisation since there was no cure. He logged into the Net to find some solution. The first site he accessed was that of the homeopathy India Foundation. Dr Shah put him on a drug regime and he is cured completely today. His bleeding stopped after a few days and is leading a better life now, the doctor informs.
